I can't formally retract the erroneous 2.0 I gave this back in 2018, but I can say that, five years on, I've come around to this record in a big way. Quality death metal with great atmosphere without being "atmospheric" (read: boring) metal.

Really brutal, really grinding old school death with low-tuned guitars, pounding drums, and guttural vocals. These guys are Swedish but it sounds nothing like the style of the early 90's! Essential death metal education!

These Brazilian bad boys mean serious business. They are angry and the songs fast and devastating, sometimes the strong and ripping melodies give the songs a character close to hymns. But the three longest tracks are what makes me really enthusiastic about this album. They are so varied and well written that I can only call them epic.
