I can't formally retract the erroneous 2.0 I gave this back in 2018, but I can say that, five years on, I've come around to this record in a big way. Quality death metal with great atmosphere without being "atmospheric" (read: boring) metal.

Ce n'est pas simplement que cet album ressemble à Autokrator : The obedience to authority pousse le vice (mot qui colle bien au death metal du groupe français) jusqu'à jouer sur les similitudes. Ainsi, certaines pistes se ressemblent comme deux gouttes d'eau, comme "Chapter I" et "Chapter II", à quelques nuances infimes près — être subtil ? comble de l'ironie pour Autokrator ! Cet album, c'est la guérison du mal par le mal, la dénonciation de la tyrannie en nous privant de tout effort de pensée.
